  1. Your family culture is a balance of what you allow and what you model. If these don't line up, kids are aware enough to see the dissonance and behave accordingly

      I think this applies to any type of leadership. Family is the place I first think of because there are no layers between my kids. They've encouraged me to look at HOW I lead them.

        However, keeping culture when the layers of leadership are further from the keystone leader(s) requires knowing what's being communicated at every level in order to set it again and again at my leadership level.

          Culture is what actually happens at the deepest levels of an organization. What my kids do when I'm not around is our family culture whether I like it or not.
